I often had the desire to capture trees with exposed, towering branches reaching towards the sky. Then, I would develop these films and imprint numerous different forms in the darkroom. I followed my curiosity and discovered many things—how they unobtrusively supply us with oxygen, regulate the temperature to suit us, care for the soil that nourishes us, beautify our surroundings, how they delve into the depths of the earth, and how they care for us without us noticing. This photo series is a story about trees.
