There was a time when I had to work through theoretical material, and I found it exhausting to think about texts and contexts. Almost as a subconscious protest, I began capturing parts of the face—the very place from which we produce words. That’s how this series, Without Context, was born. It is pure, stripped of any narrative or meaning. Only the visual remains.
